Healthy Smiles for ME, Inc. was founded in 2009.
Oral health is an integral part of total health.
It is our mission to decrease dental disease for Maine children.
When a child does not qualify for MaineCare and is in need of restorative or emergent dental care, it is determined through a phone call with a parent if treatment is not being completed due to
financial hardship.
Healthy Smiles for ME, Inc. will make an appointment with one of our participating dentists and assume financial responsibility for the treatment needed.
To date we have helped over 200 children receive treatment. Average cost for treatment ranges from $98 for a simple extraction to $7500 for treatment in a hospital setting for severe decay.
